Texas District Wealth per Weighted ADA

Some Texas school districts are rich because their property taxes generate lots of revenue. Others are poor. This data shows how wealthy each of the state's school districts is on a per-student basis. If a district has too much wealth per student compared to a state target, the state forces that district to send money back into a pool that helps poorer districts. This is called recapture. The numbers here tell you which districts are affected, how much property value they have, how many students they serve, and their wealth-per-student ratio.
