When you list a house for sale, how long before someone makes an offer? Zillow counts the days from listing to pending status and reports the average for each metro area. In a hot market, homes go under contract in days. In a slow one, they sit for months. This tracks that pulse at the metro level since 2018, smoothed month-to-month. Useful if you're curious whether your local market is moving fast or sluggish.
