TEFA Participants
Texas launched a new school voucher program in 2026 and created these education savings accounts for students. This dataset shows how many people applied versus how many actually got funded. It breaks down both groups by income level, race/ethnicity, disability status, grade level, and region so you can see which types of students are using the program and which ones aren't. Out of about 248,000 eligible students, only 85,344 got funded accounts in the first year. The numbers let you compare whether the program is reaching the students lawmakers intended.
