Opioid Prescribing in Primary Care

How much are doctors prescribing opioids in different countries, and how many people are on them long-term? This dataset answers that by comparing opioid use across roughly 20 developed nations. You can see whether prescribing rates are going up or down, which countries prescribe more or less, and how it differs by age and gender. It's the best international comparison available if you want to understand whether the US opioid situation is unique or part of a broader pattern.
