Global Electricity Generation

How much electricity does each country generate, and where does it come from? This dataset shows the breakdown for nearly every nation going back decades. You can see how much power comes from coal, natural gas, oil, nuclear plants, wind turbines, solar panels, hydroelectric dams, and other sources. It also tracks whether countries are burning more or less fossil fuel year to year, and how much electricity each person uses. It's the kind of data that shows you which countries are switching to renewables fastest and which are still heavily dependent on coal.
