GDP per Capita (Current US$)
Imagine dividing a country's total economic output by the number of people living there. That's what this shows. It answers the question: on average, how much economic value does each person in a country generate? A country with high GDP per capita tends to have higher living standards, though it doesn't capture inequality or quality of life directly. You can track whether countries are getting richer or poorer, and compare how wealthy one country is relative to another.
