PHMSA Annual Gas Distribution Report
Every natural gas company in the U.S. files an annual report with federal regulators listing how many miles of pipeline they operate, where leaks happened and why, and details about damage from digging. This dataset collects those filings from 2010 forward, broken down by state and gas type. It shows infrastructure conditions, maintenance records, and why pipelines fail. The reporting rules have changed a few times over the years, so newer reports include more detail than older ones.
