California Local Government Finances
California publishes how much money every city, county, and special district (like water agencies) took in and spent, broken down line by line. This table combines all of it into one place, going back to 2003. You can see what a specific city budgeted for police, parks, and debt payments, or compare revenue sources across counties. The data comes directly from official filings to the State Controller's Office, not estimates or summaries.
