U.S. Utility Rate Database (URDB)
Your electricity bill isn't just a fixed price per kilowatt-hour. Utilities charge you in layers: a monthly base fee, sometimes extra for using power during peak hours, more per unit if you use a lot in a month, and other fees. This database lists every rate plan offered by major U.S. utilities, so you can see exactly what you're being charged and how it compares to neighboring areas. It's also useful for researchers modeling how electricity demand changes when prices change, or for solar companies calculating what customers will save by switching to rooftop panels.
