Point-in-Time Homeless Counts by State
Every January, HUD counts homeless people across America in a single-night snapshot. This dataset shows how many people were homeless in each state, broken down by whether they were in shelters, living outside, or in temporary housing. It also tells you how many were families, veterans, and people with chronic homelessness. The numbers go back to 2007, so you can see if homelessness is trending up or down in your state or nationally.
