FDA Drug Shortages

When a drug runs out or becomes hard to find, manufacturers tell the FDA. This dataset is their record of what's missing, why it's missing, and whether it's back in stock yet. It covers about 1,700 cases, from antibiotics to cancer drugs to insulin. You can see which companies make these drugs, what went wrong (factory problem, ingredient shortage, recall, etc.), and when the shortage started and ended. Useful if you want to understand medicine supply problems or track whether a particular drug your doctor prescribed is hard to get right now.
