American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates
The Census Bureau asks millions of households detailed questions about who lives where and how much money they make. Instead of waiting 10 years for a full census, they release updated estimates every year based on the last five years of responses combined. This data shows population size and median household income by state and smaller areas. The five-year rolling average smooths out year-to-year noise, so you can spot real trends without getting distracted by random fluctuations.
