CDC PLACES: County Health Estimates
Health conditions and behaviors don't spread evenly across the country. This dataset breaks down 40 different health measures by county: things like diabetes rates, smoking, depression, whether people get cancer screenings, and access to dental care. The CDC didn't survey every county directly. Instead, they built a model using national survey data, census information, and local demographics to estimate what the rates probably are in each place. For each measure, you get the estimated percentage of adults dealing with it, plus a confidence range showing how certain that estimate is. Counties with fewer than 50 adults don't get estimates. You can see how your county compares on any of these 40 health measures.
