CBOE VIX Daily Prices

The VIX is basically the stock market's stress meter. When investors get nervous about the economy or companies, the VIX goes up. When things feel normal, it goes down. This dataset shows what the VIX was worth every day since 1990, including the open, high, low, and closing price for each day. It's useful if you want to see when markets were panicked (like 2008 or 2020) or when they were calm.
