Union Affiliation (Current Population Survey)
About 1 in 10 American workers belong to a union, but that number varies wildly by industry and state. This dataset tracks union membership year by year, broken down by who joins unions (construction workers, teachers, nurses), where they work (state by state), and what their jobs are. It shows you whether unionization is growing or shrinking, and which industries have the strongest union presence. If you're researching labor trends, comparing regions, or understanding collective bargaining, this is where the numbers come from.
